Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in the heart of Centro, you can easily walk to Ponte Hercílio Luz. Start at Praça XV de Novembro, a central square. From the square, head south towards Avenida Jornalista Rubens de Arruda Ramos. Once you reach the avenue, turn right and continue walking. You will see the iconic bridge in the distance. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk. Make sure to take some photos along the way as the views of the surrounding area are beautiful.

• Public Bus

  You can take a bus from various points in Centro. Look for bus lines that head towards 'Continente' or 'Ponte Hercílio Luz'. You can catch these buses at stops along Avenida Jornalista Rubens de Arruda Ramos. The fare is approximately R$4.50. Once on the bus, ask the driver to notify you when you reach the stop near the bridge. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
