Parque Estadual do Cocó: Fortaleza's Green Heart

Parque Estadual do Cocó is a sprawling urban oasis in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, renowned as the largest natural park within a city in the North/Northeast region of Brazil and the fourth largest in Latin America. Officially established as a state park on June 7, 2017, the park spans approximately 1,581 hectares (3,907 acres). The park also features the Viva Cocó auditorium and an amphitheater for events. The park is open from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. On Mondays, the park is closed to allow the fauna to readjust to the environment.
