Praia Itacarezinho: Bahia's Coastal Gem

Praia Itacarezinho, despite its name meaning 'Little Itacaré,' is the largest beach in the Itacaré area, stretching 3.5 kilometers. Located approximately 15 km south of Itacaré, this beach offers a diverse landscape of white sand, numerous coconut trees, and inviting waves. The beach is known for its tranquil atmosphere and opportunities for both swimming and surfing. Itacarezinho is also a significant nesting site for sea turtles, with nesting occurring from September to March and hatching continuing through May. At the northern end of the beach, a small freshwater cascade flows directly onto the sand, providing a refreshing rinse. The beach offers a blend of untouched scenery and convenient amenities. A restaurant and bar are situated near the beach, providing refreshments and meals. For those seeking more secluded spots, the extensive shoreline offers plenty of space to unwind. Visitors can access Itacarezinho by hiking along trails from nearby beaches or by driving along the road to Ilhéus. The drive involves crossing private property, with a parking fee for vehicles. Pedestrians can access the beach freely.
