South Beach: A Hidden Paradise in Ubatuba

South Beach, or Praia de Fora, is a small, secluded beach located in Ubatuba, São Paulo, Brazil. This hidden paradise is a nature reserve characterized by soft sand, clear waters, and a backdrop of lush, green vegetation. The beach is accessible only by a 30-minute trail from Prainha da Enseada or by boat, adding to its sense of peaceful isolation. The beach itself is relatively small, with rocky coastlines and an abundance of trees providing shade. Historically, the trail to Praia de Fora, also known as Trilha da Ponta do Espia, connected the southern region of Ubatuba to the center before the construction of the road. The trail passes by Ponta da Espia, which is about 500 meters from Ilha Anchieta, where a guard post once monitored the Anchieta Island prison.
