Driving
Pousada Rio Mutum is located approximately 130 km from Cuiabá, the capital of Mato Grosso. From Cuiabá, take the MT-060 road towards Barão de Melgaço. The road is mostly paved, but the final stretch to the pousada is a dirt road, which can be bumpy. Consider that the drive from Cuiabá to Pousada Rio Mutum takes around 3 hours. Car rentals are available at Cuiabá airport. As of July 2025, expect to pay around R$80-R$150 per day for a basic car rental in Cuiabá. There are no tolls on the MT-060. Parking is available at the pousada.
