Cachoeira Serra Azul is a breathtaking waterfall nestled in the heart of Mato Grosso, near the town of Rosário Oeste. The falls are 46 meters (151 feet) high, plunging into a natural pool that is six meters (20 feet) deep and 30 meters (98 feet) in diameter. To reach the Cachoeira Serra Azul, visitors must enter the Sesc Serra Azul park. The park is an environmental project focused on ecotourism and adventure activities, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. A well-maintained trail leads to the falls, including a descent of approximately 470 steps. While the trek can be tiring, especially for those unaccustomed to hiking, the reward is well worth the effort. Once at the falls, visitors can swim and snorkel in the refreshing waters, observing the various species of fish. For an added thrill, a 700-meter zipline offers a speedy return to the park's headquarters, soaring 50 meters above the ground. It is important to note that the use of sunscreen is prohibited to protect the fish and maintain the water's purity. The park occasionally closes the falls due to heavy rains or other safety concerns.
