Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Chapada dos Guimarães. Head northeast on Av. Historiador Rubens de Mendonça (MT-251) for about 5 km. Follow the signs for the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park. Once you reach the park entrance, pay the entrance fee (approximately R$ 20 per car). Continue driving on the main road inside the park until you reach a fork; keep left toward Sítio Rodrigues. The site is approximately 10 km from the fork. Look out for local signage indicating Sítio Rodrigues.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you can take a bus from Cuiabá to Chapada dos Guimarães. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Cuiabá and cost about R$ 30. Once you arrive in Chapada dos Guimarães, you may need to hire a local taxi or use a rideshare app to reach Sítio Rodrigues, as public transportation options within the park are limited. Expect to pay around R$ 40-60 for a taxi ride from the town center to Sítio Rodrigues.

• Walking

  If you are staying close to Sítio Rodrigues and prefer to walk, you can start from the nearest accommodation in Chapada dos Guimarães. Ensure you have a map or GPS, as the paths can be unmarked. The walk is approximately 3 km and will take about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Be cautious of the terrain and ensure you wear comfortable shoes.
