The Torre de TV Digital, or Digital TV Tower, is one of Brasília's more recent monuments, having been inaugurated on April 21, 2012, coinciding with the city's 52nd anniversary. Designed by the renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer, it was one of his final projects before his death. The tower is often called the 'Flor do Cerrado' because its design resembles a flower native to the Brazilian savanna.Serving as a telecommunications hub, the tower broadcasts digital television signals to the Federal District and nearby areas. Rising to a height of 182 meters (170 meters according to some sources), the structure comprises a 120-meter concrete section and a 50-meter metallic structure. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Brasília from its observation decks, with one observatory housing a restaurant. The tower also features an art gallery.Located in the Setor Habitacional Taquari, the Torre de TV Digital provides a unique vantage point to appreciate Brasília's urban landscape and the surrounding Cerrado vegetation.
