Getting There

• Metro

  If you are near a metro station, take the Line 1 (Orange Line) towards General Osório. Get off at the Cinelândia station. Once you exit the station, head towards the exit that leads you to Rua do Catete. Walk straight until you reach Avenida Rio Branco. From there, take a left onto Avenida Rio Branco and continue walking until you reach Avenida Mem de Sá. Turn right, and you will find Bar Carioca da Gema at number 79.

• Bus

  Look for a bus stop nearby and check for buses heading towards Lapa, such as lines 206, 254, or 433. Get on the bus and ask the driver to let you know when you reach Av. Mem de Sá. Once you get off, walk towards number 79, and you will find Bar Carioca da Gema on your right.

  If you are already in the Lapa neighborhood, simply walk towards Avenida Mem de Sá. If you are near the Selarón Steps, head down the steps towards Rua Joaquim Silva. At the end of the street, turn right onto Avenida Mem de Sá, and Bar Carioca da Gema will be just a few minutes walk down the avenue at number 79.
