Public Transport

From Copacabana or Ipanema, take a bus or the metro to Botafogo station. From there, transfer to a bus heading to Urca (check for buses with 'Urca' displayed). The bus will drop you off near Praia Vermelha. Bus fares are around R$3.80.

Praia Vermelha, or Red Beach, is a hidden gem located in Rio de Janeiro's charming Urca neighborhood, cradled between Sugarloaf Mountain and Babilônia Hill.
