For a time, it was considered more important than the beach, with people dressing up to see and be seen.Today, Avenida Rio Branco remains a significant commercial and financial hub, home to major banks and government offices. While many original buildings have been replaced by modern structures, landmarks like the Theatro Municipal and Cinelândia Square still showcase the avenue's rich history.
