Getting There

• Public Transport

  To reach Buraco da Sereia, start at the central area of Salvador, such as the Praça da Sé. From there, take a bus heading to Barra. Look for buses with signs indicating 'Barra' or 'Farol da Barra'. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. After getting off at the Barra bus stop, you will be near the Farol da Barra lighthouse. From the bus stop, walk towards the lighthouse and continue along the Avenida Almirante Marques de Leão towards the Pedra do Quilombo, where Buraco da Sereia is located. It’s about a 10-minute walk along the coast, and you can enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean along the way.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Barra neighborhood, make your way to the Farol da Barra lighthouse. From the lighthouse, head south along the beach promenade. Continue walking past the beach area until you reach the rocky outcrops of Pedra do Quilombo. Buraco da Sereia is located in this area. Look for paths that lead down to the water; this is where you'll find the entrance to Buraco da Sereia. Be cautious as the terrain can be uneven, and wear suitable footwear.

• Taxi or Ride-Sharing

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi or ride-sharing service like Uber. Simply input 'Buraco da Sereia, Farol da Barra' as your destination. The driver will take you directly to the area near the Pedra do Quilombo. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the specific location of Buraco da Sereia, which is situated near the rocky beach area.
