Getting There

  • Walking

    If starting from the Pelourinho area, head southeast on Rua da Misericordia. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Praça da Sé. From there, take the stairs down to Rua da Conceição da Praia, and walk along the coastline until you reach the intersection with Rua da Graca. Turn left and continue walking until you see Largo do Campo Grande on your right. The walk offers views of local architecture.

    From the Terminal Marítimo, take the ferry to the Terminal de São Joaquim. At the Terminal de São Joaquim, take bus number 1001 or 1040 towards Campo Grande. Get off at the 'Campo Grande' stop, a short walk from Largo do Campo Grande. The bus fare is approximately R$3.50. Alternatively, take the metro from any station to the 'Campo da Polvora' station. Exit and head south on Avenida Sete de Setembro; Largo do Campo Grande will be on your left. Bus 1001 also runs directly from Salvador Airport to Praça da Sé, which is near Largo do Campo Grande. The fare is R$5.20.
