Getting there

Walking

From Porto da Barra Beach, walk along Avenida Oceanica towards the Farol da Barra lighthouse. Turn right onto Rua Jose Panceti. Morro do Gato will be on your left, approximately a 5-10 minute walk. There are no costs associated with walking.

Public Transport

From other parts of Barra or Salvador, take a local bus heading towards Barra. Get off at a bus stop near Avenida Oceanica and the lighthouse. From there, walk along Avenida Oceanica and turn right onto Rua Jose Panceti. Bus fares in Salvador are around R$5.20. You can pay with cash or a SalvadorCard.

Taxi/Ride-share

Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and 99 are readily available in Salvador. Simply input 'Morro do Gato' as your destination. A short taxi ride from within Barra should cost approximately R$10-R$15. Be sure the taxi driver uses the meter.
