Getting There

  From Serra dos Órgãos National Park, head south on BR-040 towards Rio de Janeiro. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit towards Avenida Brasil, which will lead you into the city. Follow Avenida Brasil until you reach the Centro area. Once in Centro, look for signs directing you to Praça Mal. Âncora. The Museu Histórico Nacional is located at Praça Mal. • Public Transportation (Bus)
