Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the heart of Lapa, you can easily walk to Lampadário da Lapa. Start at the famous Arcos da Lapa (Lapa Arches), which is a well-known landmark. From the Arcos, head south on Rua dos Arcos (the street that runs alongside the arches) for about 200 meters until you reach Rua Visc. de Maranguape. Turn left onto Rua Visc. de Maranguape and continue walking for approximately 100 meters. The Lampadário will be on your right at number 711.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  If you prefer to take a bus, you can catch one from a nearby bus stop. Look for buses heading towards Centro (City Center). Once on the bus, inform the driver or check the route to ensure it stops near Rua Visc. de Maranguape. Alight at the closest stop and walk approximately 5 minutes to reach Lampadário da Lapa by following the directions from the Arcos da Lapa as mentioned above.

• Metro

  You can take the metro to reach Lapa. The nearest metro station is Cinelândia on Line 1 (the Light Blue Line). Once you exit the station, head southeast towards Rua da Assembléia, then turn left and walk until you reach Rua Visc. de Maranguape. From there, continue straight until you find Lampadário da Lapa at number 711. The entire journey from the Cinelândia station to Lampadário should take about 15-20 minutes of walking.
