Public Transport

From Ipanema or Copacabana, take a bus along Avenida Niemeyer towards Vidigal. Get off at the entrance to Vidigal (Praça do Vidigal). From there, you can take a moto-taxi (R$10) or a van (R$2.30) up to the trailhead. Alternatively, you can walk up, but it's a steep climb. Once at the top of Vidigal, follow signs to the Dois Irmãos trail. There may be a small trail access fee of approximately R$10.
Taxi/Ride-Share

Take a taxi or ride-share service (Uber/99) to Praça do Vidigal, the main entrance to Vidigal favela. From the Zona Sul (Ipanema, Copacabana), a taxi ride will cost approximately R$20-R$30, depending on traffic. From Praça do Vidigal, take a moto-taxi (R$10) or van (R$2.30) to the trailhead. Be aware that there may be a small trail access fee of around R$10.
Walking

If you're staying in Leblon, you can walk to the entrance of Vidigal on Avenida Niemeyer. The walk is approximately 15 minutes. From there, you can either walk up through the favela to the trailhead (steep climb) or take a moto-taxi (R$10) or van (R$2.30). Don't forget to factor in the trail access fee of approximately R$10.
