Since opening its doors in 1974, Abe's has been serving up authentic Caribbean flavors with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant is celebrated for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, where visitors are treated like family. Big Abe Coakley, a Virgin Islander born and raised on Jost Van Dyke, and his wife Eunicy, originally from St. Vincent, are the proud proprietors. Eunicy and her sister Vasilca prepare West Indian fare such as conch, fish, shrimp, chicken, and fabulous ribs. Don't miss their homemade key lime pie. Abe's is also known for its unique honor bar, where guests serve themselves and keep track of their drinks. The restaurant can seat up to 70 people and also offers a small shop with basic provisions.
