Cistern Point: A Snorkeling Paradise

Cistern Point, situated south of Manchioneel Bay on Cooper Island, is a must-visit destination for snorkelers and divers exploring the British Virgin Islands. This easily accessible site boasts shallow, crystal-clear waters, creating an ideal environment for observing a diverse array of marine life. The underwater landscape features a vibrant coral reef system, teeming with colorful corals and whimsical sea fans. Snorkelers can expect to encounter various schools of fish, including blue tangs, queen angelfish, damselfish, snappers, and grunts. Cistern Point gets its name from a series of shallow craters on its far side, offering interesting underwater topography to explore.
