Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Road Town, the capital of Tortola. Head east on Main Street towards the East End. Continue onto the Anegada Ferry Terminal road and follow the signs for East End. Once you reach the junction at the East End, take the right onto the Road Town - East End road (Route 30). Drive for approximately 20 minutes until you reach a fork in the road. Keep left to stay on Route 30, following the signs to Trellis Bay. Continue along this road until you reach the junction for the dirt road leading to Hansen Bay. Turn right onto this dirt road and drive carefully for about 5 minutes until you arrive at Hansen Bay Beach. Parking is available near the beach.

For those using public transportation, you can catch a taxi from various points in Tortola. Head to the main taxi stand in Road Town or ask your hotel to arrange a taxi. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Hansen Bay Beach. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and the fare is usually around $35 to $40 per person, depending on your starting point. The taxi will drop you off at the entrance of Hansen Bay Beach, where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Minibuses are another option for getting to Hansen Bay Beach. You can catch a minibus from Road Town heading towards East End. Look for the buses with signs indicating 'East End' or 'Trellis Bay.' The fare is typically around $2-3 per person. Once you reach the East End junction, you will need to transfer to a local taxi or arrange for a private taxi to take you the remaining distance to the beach. This total journey will take around 45 minutes to an hour.
