    Discover more about The Baths

The Baths are a mesmerizing collection of massive granite boulders scattered along the shoreline of Virgin Gorda, forming a unique and unforgettable landscape. These batholiths, some as large as 40 feet in diameter, create a labyrinth of cavernous passages, sheltered sea pools, and hidden grottoes, inviting visitors to explore their depths. Formed millions of years ago through volcanic activity, the granite boulders were shaped by the relentless forces of nature, resulting in the smooth, rounded formations seen today. Molten rock seeped into existing volcanic layers, cooled slowly, and cracked into blocks, which were then exposed as softer rock eroded away. The crashing waves further sculpted the rocks, creating the unique boulder-like appearance. Visitors can navigate the maze of boulders by swimming, wading, and climbing, discovering hidden pools and underwater caves. The Cathedral, one of the most significant and beautiful pools, is a must-see. The Baths also offer excellent snorkeling opportunities, with crystal-clear waters teeming with marine life. A trail leads from The Baths to Devil's Bay, a picturesque horseshoe-shaped beach. Along the way, you'll encounter steps, rope handrails, and narrow passages, adding to the sense of adventure. Spring Bay, another nearby beach, offers a quieter alternative with similar boulder formations and snorkeling opportunities.
