Bus

From Bandar Seri Begawan, take bus number 881 or 882 towards Seria. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes and costs BND 5. Alight at Seria Bus Terminal. From there, you can take a local bus towards Simpang 16, or a taxi to Seria Energy Lab. The lab is located at Simpang 16.

From Seria town center, a taxi to Seria Energy Lab is a short ride. Taxis are readily available, and the fare should be relatively inexpensive, around BND 5-10. Ensure the driver knows the location at Simpang 16.

If driving from Mukim Bangar, head northwest towards Seria. Follow the signs for Seria and look for the J88G+VVM address. Seria Energy Lab is located at Simpang 16. Parking is available on-site at no charge.

Originally established as the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC) in 2002, it was rebranded in 2020 to emphasize its role in fostering innovative, next-generation thinkers. SEL aims to make science accessible and engaging, particularly for young people, with a focus on 21st-century skills. The lab features a variety of interactive exhibits designed to intrigue and educate visitors of all ages. Key exhibition zones include Oil and Gas, which explores Brunei's hydrocarbon history and technological advancements; Future Energy, highlighting the importance of energy conservation; Aqualab, showcasing Brunei's marine ecosystem; and Smart Science, offering interactive science exhibits. The Maker Space provides a unique area for hands-on maker activities. Outdoor exhibits include the BSP locomotive, a historic piece of transportation from the oil fields. SEL is not just a museum; it's a dynamic center for learning and innovation. It actively collaborates with local partners, including NGOs, government agencies, Brunei Shell Petroleum, and the Ministry of Education, to conduct workshops, competitions, and activities.
