Start at Tutong Town Centre, which is easily accessible on foot. Head northwest on Jalan Tutong towards Jalan Kianggeh. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Jalan Limau Manis and continue for approximately 1.5 km. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. Once you reach another roundabout, take the second exit onto Jalan Penghulu, which will lead you out of the town area. Keep walking straight for another 2 km until you see signs for Limbang. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the bus stop where you can catch a local bus heading to Limbang.
Bus
From Tutong Town Centre, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Jalan Tutong. Look for the bus that indicates it is heading towards Limbang. The journey may take between 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. Be sure to pay the fare when you board. Once you arrive in Limbang, ask the bus driver to drop you off near Kampung Meritam, as it is a known location. From the bus stop, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the mud volcanoes, which are approximately 5 km away.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Tutong Town Centre. Look for a local taxi stand or use a ride-hailing app if available. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kampung Meritam's Mud Volcanoes in Limbang. The drive will take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. It's advisable to agree on the fare before getting in the taxi or ensure that the meter is running. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the mud volcanoes.
