The Stella Maris Chapel became an integral part of this vision, serving not only as a place of worship but also as a sanctuary. Following her death in 1938, Queen Marie's heart was placed in a golden casket and temporarily interred in the Stella Maris Chapel, underscoring its importance to her.Today, visitors can explore the chapel and admire its religious artwork, including scenes from the Old and New Testaments, as well as the faces of Queen Marie and Princess Ileana, who supported the chapel's construction.
