Car
From Sandanski, head northwest on the E79 for approximately 18 km. Look for the sign for Popina Laka Waterfall and turn left onto a smaller road leading into the Pirin Mountains. Follow this road for about 5 km to the designated parking area near the trailhead. Parking may cost around 5 BGN.
Public Transport
Take a bus from the main bus station in Sandanski to the nearby village of Melnik. Buses run regularly, and the fare is approximately 2 BGN. From Melnik, you can take a taxi to the Popina Laka Waterfall trailhead or hike approximately 3 km along a marked trail.
Hiking
If you are already hiking in the Pirin Mountains, follow the marked trails leading towards Popina Laka Waterfall. From the Bansko area, the scenic route is about 10 km and can take approximately 3 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have proper hiking gear, a detailed map, and sufficient water and snacks.
