Persina Nature Park Tickets and Tours

From Sofia: Belene - Communist Camps, Roman Ruins & Wildlife

Great day out!

This tour was so fun, I went with another friend and we had our tourguide Velko pick us up from the meeting point and drive us into the mountain where we trekked up Vitosha. We bought the snowshoes but we did not end up needing them in the end (a shame but can't be helped) as the snow wasn't that deep. The wind was quite strong on the day we hiked and so Velko gave us the options of going to the summit or going around a different way to avoid the wind, so we picked that. Velko was very talkative and knowledgeable and even though it was windy and we had a bit of a white out it was very fun and we all had a good time. We went to the cafe to have lunch and Velko told us which Bulgarian foods to try (they were very tasty) and then we went to the spa which was lovely (although bring your own shoes and towels). Overall we had a great day and the tour was one of our highlights of the trip, I recommend Velko as your guide :)
