Chorev, a woodcarving graduate from Bansko, dedicated nearly two months to the project, utilizing hammers, chisels, and a grinder to complete the artwork.
The relief depicts Saint George, a revered figure in Bulgarian culture, slaying the dragon. The artwork stands as a testament to human creativity and serves as a reminder of the boundless potential of human capabilities. The creation of the Барелеф Свети Георги was celebrated by the local community, with the municipality of Razlog awarding Petar Chorev with an honorary sign for his contribution. The site was consecrated on May 21, 2018, with the hope that it would bring peace and good fortune to the residents and visitors of Eleshnitsa.
