Discover more about Midalidare Estate

Midalidare Estate, located in the village of Mogilovo, is a testament to Bulgaria's growing reputation as a producer of quality wines. Situated in the heart of the Thracian Valley, a region with thousands of years of winemaking history, the estate combines modern techniques with respect for the land to create a unique wine tourism destination. Founded in 2009, the estate encompasses 160 hectares of vineyards spread across several plots, each with distinct soil compositions and microclimates. This diversity allows Midalidare to cultivate a wide range of grape varietals, including Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and more. The vineyards benefit from over 2800 hours of sunshine a year, contributing to the quality of the grapes. Midalidare boasts two modern wineries, with a combined capacity of almost 300,000 bottles per year. Visitors can take a tour to learn about the winemaking process, from grape sorting to fermentation and aging. The estate also features a Wine Museum, showcasing the history of winemaking in the region with ethnographic collections. Wine tastings are offered, allowing guests to sample a selection of Midalidare's wines. Beyond wine, Midalidare offers a range of experiences. The Midalidare Hotel & Spa provides comfortable accommodation, a spa with a heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Roman bath and hammam, and a restaurant serving local cuisine. The estate also has a gastropub and lakeside chalets for fishing and walks. For rock music fans, Midalidare hosts an annual three-day music festival. Midalidare is located a two-hour drive from Sofia, an hour from Plovdiv, and half an hour from Stara Zagora. It's open to visitors throughout the year, with slightly different hours on weekdays and weekends.
