Car
If you are traveling by car from Malyovitsa, head south on the main road (E79) towards Samokov. After about 10 km, you will reach a junction. Turn left onto the road leading to the Malyovitsa ski resort. Continue on this road for approximately 5 km until you reach the Malyovitsa parking area. Here, you can park your car. From the parking area, follow the marked hiking trails towards Лопушко езеро, which is about a 30-minute hike from the parking area.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start at Malyovitsa and take a local bus towards Samokov. Buses usually run every hour, and the fare is around 2 BGN (Bulgarian Lev). Once you arrive in Samokov, transfer to a bus heading to the Malyovitsa ski resort. After arriving at the ski resort, you will need to hike approximately 30 minutes to reach Лопушко езеро. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they can vary.
Hiking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can start your journey directly from Malyovitsa village. There are several marked trails leading to Лопушко езеро. The most common route takes about 1.5 to 2 hours of moderate hiking. Make sure to bring suitable hiking gear and check the weather conditions before you start your hike.
