If you are driving from Malyovitsa, take the road heading southeast towards the village of Bistritsa. Follow the signs for Rila National Park. After approximately 6 kilometers, you will reach a small parking area near the trailhead for Bistritsa Waterfall. Park your car here, as further access by vehicle is not permitted. The waterfall is about a 30-minute hike from this point.
Public Transportation
To reach Bistritsa Waterfall using public transportation from Malyovitsa, you can take a local bus towards Samokov. After about 20 minutes, get off at the stop for Bistritsa. From the bus stop, follow the signs directing you to Bistritsa Waterfall. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from the bus stop to the waterfall via a marked hiking trail.
Hiking
From the parking area near the trailhead, begin your hike on the marked trail leading to Bistritsa Waterfall. The path is well-maintained and should take about 30 minutes to reach the waterfall. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and carry water, as the trail can be steep in some sections.
