Getting there

Car

If you're driving from Varna, take the A2 highway towards Burgas. Continue south on A1 until you reach the exit for Kazanlak (around 200 km). Follow the signs for Kazanlak and drive into the city. Once in Kazanlak, navigate to the center and follow signs towards the Thracian Tombs. The Megalith is located about 10 km from the city center, near the village of Buzovgrad. You can use GPS coordinates 42.5704772, 25.376694999999998 for accurate navigation. Note that parking is available near the site, but it may be limited during peak tourist season.

Public Transportation

From Varna, you can take a bus to Kazanlak. Buses leave regularly from the Varna Bus Station to Kazanlak and the journey takes approximately 3-4 hours. Once you arrive at Kazanlak Bus Station, you can take a local taxi to the Megalith site, which is about a 15-minute drive. Alternatively, inquire at the bus station about local minibuses or shuttle services that may go directly to the site, especially during the tourist season.

Taxi

If you're in Kazanlak and prefer not to drive or take public transport, you can easily find a taxi from the city center to the Megalith. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey. The trip should cost between 10 to 15 BGN (Bulgarian Lev), depending on the taxi company and traffic conditions.

Walking

If you are staying in the nearby village of Buzovgrad, the Megalith is within walking distance. From the center of Buzovgrad, follow the signs towards the Megalith. It's a scenic walk of about 2 km, taking approximately 30-40 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful countryside.
