Car
If you are traveling by car, you can start from the town of Bansko. Head north on the main road (E79) and follow the signs for Pirin National Park. After about 8 kilometers, you will reach the entrance to the park where you may need to pay a small entrance fee (approximately 5 BGN). Continue driving for another 3 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the trailhead for Baikushev's Pine. From the parking area, it is a short 15-minute walk along a marked trail to reach the famous tree.
Public Transportation
To reach Baikushev's Pine using public transportation, take a bus from Bansko to the town of Dobrinishte. Buses run frequently and the ticket should cost around 2 BGN. Once in Dobrinishte, you will need to take a taxi to the entrance of Pirin National Park, which should cost about 10-15 BGN. At the park entrance, be prepared to pay a small fee (approximately 5 BGN) before continuing your journey. After paying, you can either walk (around 30 minutes) or arrange for a park shuttle, if available, to take you to the parking area near Baikushev's Pine.
