Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Kresna. Head east on the main road (E-79) towards the Pirin Mountains. After approximately 5 km, take a right turn onto the road leading to the Vlahi area. Follow this road for about 3 km until you reach the parking area near the trailhead for Vlahi Waterfall. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for mountain roads as some sections may be rugged.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Blagoevgrad to Kresna. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Kresna, you will need to either hike or arrange a taxi to get to the Vlahi area. If hiking, follow the same route as described for car travel, but note that it will take approximately 1.5 hours on foot. Alternatively, you can ask a local taxi driver for a ride to the parking area near the trailhead for Vlahi Waterfall.
Hiking
Once you reach the parking area, the Vlahi Waterfall is accessible via a marked hiking trail. The hike is about 1 km and takes approximately 30 minutes. Follow the signs leading to the waterfall, which will take you through beautiful forested areas. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water, as the trail can be steep in sections.
