For those using public transportation, catch a bus from major towns in the Rhodope Mountains, such as Smolyan or Devin, to Shiroka Laka. Buses are available several times a day, but schedules can vary. Once you arrive in Shiroka Laka, you can either walk to Elephant Rock, which is approximately a 20 to 30-minute hike uphill from the village center. Follow the path that leads out of the village towards the mountain; local signage will guide you to Elephant Rock.

If you're already in the Shiroka Laka area, walking to Elephant Rock is a beautiful option. Start from the village center and take the path leading northeast out of the village. The trail is well-trodden and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The hike is moderately challenging and takes about 30 minutes.
