Car
If you are driving, head towards the village of Shiroka Laka. From the main road E864, take the exit towards Shiroka Laka. Follow the signs for the village, and once you enter the village, keep an eye out for local signs directing you to Elephant Rock. The coordinates for the rock are approximately 41.720768° N, 24.423347° E. There is a small parking area near the rock, though space may be limited.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, catch a bus from major towns in the Rhodope Mountains, such as Smolyan or Devin, to Shiroka Laka. Buses are available several times a day, but schedules can vary. Once you arrive in Shiroka Laka, you can either walk to Elephant Rock, which is approximately a 20 to 30-minute hike uphill from the village center. Follow the path that leads out of the village towards the mountain; local signage will guide you to Elephant Rock.
Walking
If you're already in the Shiroka Laka area, walking to Elephant Rock is a beautiful option. Start from the village center and take the path leading northeast out of the village. The trail is well-trodden and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The hike is moderately challenging and takes about 30 minutes. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear as the trail can be rocky in places.
