If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Smolyan. Head southwest on Tsar Boris III Blvd. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the road towards the village of Stoykite. Turn right and follow the road for about 10 kilometers. Look for signs to Връх Голям Перелик (Vrah Golyam Perelik). The last stretch of the journey will be on a gravel road. Please note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for this part due to the rough terrain. Parking is available near the hiking trailhead.

Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a bus from Smolyan to Stoykite. Buses operate regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive in Stoykite, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the base of Връх Голям Перелик. The hike to the summit is approximately 5 kilometers and may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Ensure to check the bus schedules in advance as they can vary depending on the season.
