Car

If you are driving, the best route is to take the E80 highway towards Smolyan. Once you reach the town of Smolyan, follow the signs for Trigrad. The road from Smolyan to Trigrad is scenic and well-maintained. Upon reaching Trigrad, continue on the road that leads towards the gorge. There are parking areas available near the entrance to the gorge. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 5-10 BGN.

Public Transportation

To reach Trigrad Gorge by public transportation, take a bus from Plovdiv to Smolyan. Buses leave regularly from the Plovdiv bus station and the journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Smolyan, transfer to a local bus or taxi that heads to Trigrad. Make sure to check the local bus schedule as they may not run frequently. A taxi ride from Smolyan to Trigrad will typically cost around 20-30 BGN.

Walking

If you are already in the Trigrad area and prefer to walk, the gorge is accessible via well-marked hiking trails. From the village of Trigrad, follow the signs towards the gorge.
