    From Sofia, take a bus to Pamporovo. The journey takes approximately 4.5 hours and costs between $16 and $23. From Pamporovo, local buses or taxis can be used to reach specific destinations within the Rhodope Mountains. From Plovdiv, a bus to Pamporovo takes around 2.5 hours and costs $11-$17. From Thessaloniki, Greece, you can reach the Rhodope Mountains by bus via Kavala or Alexandroupolis. Note: Bus schedules may be limited, especially to remote areas.
