Continue driving for about 5 kilometers until you reach the marked turnoff for Smolyan Fortress. The fortress is located on a hillside, and you will see signs pointing you towards the parking area. There is no entry fee for parking, but please note that the road may be narrow and winding as you approach the fortress.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Smolyan's main bus station to the Smolyan Lakes area. Buses run several times a day, and the fare is typically around 1.50 BGN (Bulgarian Lev).
