If arriving in Smolyan by bus, the waterfall is a short local bus or taxi ride from the central bus station to the Sredok area. From there, follow the walking directions. A local bus ride should cost approximately 1.50 BGN.

A taxi from the center of Smolyan to the waterfall area is a quick and convenient option. Expect to pay around 5-7 BGN for a short trip within the town. Be sure to specify 'Smolyan Waterfall' or 'Sredok' to the driver.

Smolyan Waterfall, declared a natural landmark in 1968, is a captivating sight hidden on the western edge of Smolyan, Bulgaria. The waterfall is on a small local river and descends from a height of 20 meters. The waterfall has historically been difficult to view because of the dense vegetation.Recognizing its potential, the Municipality of Smolyan has been working to transform the area around the waterfall into an attractive tourist destination. Recent improvements include refreshed tourist markings, information boards, a wooden bridge with protective railings, a metal fence, waste bins and large wooden benches. These enhancements aim to create a welcoming park environment for both locals and visitors.While visiting, take the time to explore the surrounding area, which is part of the larger Rhodope Mountains. The nearby Canyon of Waterfalls eco-trail offers a more extensive hiking experience with numerous waterfalls and scenic views.
