If you are driving, start from Sofia and take the A1 highway towards Plovdiv. After about 70 km, take the exit for Borovets. Continue on the road until you reach Borovets, where you will see signs directing you to the Musala Peak Trailhead. The GPS coordinates for the trailhead are approximately 42.2589263, 23.5986187. There is limited parking available near the trailhead, and parking fees may apply.

To reach Borovets via public transportation, take a bus from Sofia to Samokov, which is approximately a 1-1.5 hour journey. From Samokov, you can catch a local bus to Borovets, which takes about 30 minutes. Once in Borovets, follow the signs to the Musala Peak Trailhead, which is a short walk from the bus station.
