Getting There

    Start your journey from Rila by driving towards the town of Karlukovo. Head northeast on the main road (E79) from Rila. After about 30 kilometers, you will reach a junction where you will turn left onto the road leading to Karlukovo (follow signs). Continue driving for about 10 kilometers, and you will see signs for Prohodna Cave. Once you arrive in Karlukovo, follow the signs to the cave. Note that parking is available near the entrance, but it may cost around 5 BGN.

    To reach Prohodna Cave using public transport, take a bus from Rila to the nearby town of Karlukovo. Buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule ahead of time. Once in Karlukovo, you can either walk to Prohodna Cave, which is about 3 kilometers away (approximately a 40-minute walk) or look for local taxis that can take you directly to the cave.
