Getting There

    From Rila, head southeast on the main road towards the Rila Monastery. Follow signs for Rila Monastery (Монастир Рила) and continue for approximately 10 km. Once you reach the monastery, look for signs leading to Rila National Park and the hiking trail. The trailhead is located near the parking area adjacent to the monastery. Parking fees may apply, typically around 5 BGN per day.

    Take a bus from Rila to the Rila Monastery. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 30 minutes. The bus station in Rila is located in the town center.
