From Sopot, take the road towards Karlovo and follow the signs for the Shiyakovtsi monastery, which is approximately 10 km from Sopot. The final stretch will include a turn off the main road onto a smaller road leading directly to the monastery. Parking is available near the monastery.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Sofia Valley to the town of Sopot. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sopot, you will need to catch a local taxi or look for a small van service that goes towards the Shiyakovtsi monastery. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will stop at the monastery, as not all services may go directly there. Expect to pay a small fare for the taxi or van.
