Konstantin Velitchkov Metro Station is a key station on the Sofia Metro, named in honor of the noted Bulgarian writer and public figure, Konstantin Velitchkov. The station, put into operation on January 28, 1998, is located on Todor Aleksandrov Boulevard, nestled between the intersections of Konstantin Velichkov Boulevard and Dimitar Petkov Street, near Stamboliyski Boulevard and Tsaritsa Yoanna Street. Situated on the outer ring of the city, it provides convenient access to various parts of Sofia. The station itself is a non-column type with a suspended ceiling featuring decorative aluminum panels placed at 45-degree angles in the corners above the tracks. The dominant white ceiling is accented with transverse red stripes spaced approximately 5.6 meters apart. The walls are lined with beige ceramic tiles, complemented by dark brown vertical and horizontal stripes, with spaces for advertisements. The architectural design, created by arch. Sl. Galabov, includes transverse decorative frames at both ends and in the middle of the platform, serving as visual information boards. As a functional station, it provides interchange with tram lines 3, 8, 10, 11, and 22, as well as city bus lines 11, 83, and N1. The station facilitates easy access to nearby amenities such as the Mall of Sofia and various residential areas.
