Car

If traveling by car, start from Vidin and head southeast on the E79 highway towards Montana. After approximately 30 km, take the exit toward Belogradchik. Follow the signs to Belogradchik, which is about 20 km from the exit. Once in Belogradchik, follow the signs to Belgrad Castle, located at GPS coordinates 41.3979515, 25.9549695. Parking is available near the entrance, but there may be a small fee.

Public Transport

For public transportation, take a bus from Vidin to Belogradchik. Buses run several times a day; check the local schedule, as times can vary. The journey takes about 1 hour. Upon arriving at the Belogradchik bus station, you can walk to the castle, which is approximately a 30-minute walk uphill. Alternatively, you can hire a taxi from the bus station for a small fee to take you directly to Belgrad Castle.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in Northwest Bulgaria to Belgrad Castle. Ensure you negotiate the fare beforehand or request the driver to use the meter. The cost will vary depending on your starting location, but expect it to be around 30-50 BGN from Vidin to Belogradchik. The taxi will drop you off close to the castle entrance.

Walking

Once you arrive in Belogradchik, if you are up for it, you can walk to Belgrad Castle from the town center. The walk is scenic but involves a steep incline.
