Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Sofia, which is the capital of Bulgaria. From any point in Southeast Bulgaria, take the main roads leading to Sofia. The most common route is via the A1 highway. Once you arrive in Sofia, follow signs to the city center. As you approach the center, look for signs directing you to 'Doktorska Gradina'. You can park at available parking spots nearby or in designated parking lots. Note that parking fees may apply.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a train or bus to Sofia from various towns in Southeast Bulgaria. Major towns like Plovdiv or Stara Zagora have regular bus and train services to Sofia. Once you arrive at Sofia Central Bus Station or Sofia Central Railway Station, you can take the metro or a taxi. If you choose the metro, take Line 1 (the red line) to the 'Serdika' station, then transfer to Line 2 (the blue line) and travel to 'Nadezhda' or 'Sofia University'. From either of these stations, it’s a short walk to Doktorska Gradina. If you prefer a taxi, it will cost approximately 10-15 BGN (Bulgarian Lev) to reach the park from the central stations.
