Car

If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest regional hub, Plovdiv. Take the A1 highway towards Stara Zagora. After about 70 kilometers, take the exit toward Kazanlak and merge onto Route 66. Continue on Route 66 for approximately 55 kilometers until you reach the town of Kalofer. From there, follow signs to Stalbitsata Cave, which is located about 15 kilometers from Kalofer. You will need to navigate through some rural roads, so be sure to have a GPS or a map handy. Parking is available near the cave entrance.

Public Transportation

To reach Stalbitsata Cave by public transportation, first take a bus from Plovdiv to Kazanlak. Buses depart regularly from the Plovdiv bus station, with the trip taking about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Kazanlak, transfer to a local bus heading to Kalofer. This bus may take around 30 minutes. After arriving in Kalofer, you can either walk or take a taxi to Stalbitsata Cave, which is approximately 15 kilometers away. Be prepared to negotiate taxi fares, as they may vary.

Taxi or Ride-Sharing
