The Dolphinarium Varna, situated in the green heart of Primorski Park, has been a symbol of Varna and a highlight of Bulgarian tourism since its opening in 1984. As the only dolphinarium of its kind in Bulgaria, it offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness the incredible skills and playful nature of dolphins.The Dolphinarium's eye-catching building, designed by architect Simeon Saraliev, features a futuristic structure with a glass and aluminum facade. Inside, the main pool, with a capacity of 1200 cubic meters, hosts captivating shows that blend acrobatics, synchronized dances, and music. Spectators can witness the dolphins performing high jumps, double flips, and even triple axels. The shows also include demonstrations of the dolphins' intelligence, such as singing, dancing, and playing games with the audience.Beyond the shows, the Dolphinarium contributes to marine life appreciation and conservation. Visitors can observe the dolphins in a relaxed setting through the panoramic windows of the on-site café. The Dolphinarium is home to five dolphins: Kimbo, Doli, Popi, Yoana, and Bimbo, with Yoana and Bimbo born at the facility.
