    Getting There

    Walking

    From Varna's city center (Ploshchad Nezavisimost), head south on Aleksandar Stamboliyski Street towards Knyaz Boris I Boulevard. Turn right onto Knyaz Boris I Boulevard and walk until you reach the entrance to Primorski Park on your left. Enter the park, and the Dolphinarium is a short walk away. The walk is approximately 30 minutes.

    Public Transport

    From the city center, locate a bus stop along Knyaz Boris I Boulevard. Take bus lines 9, 14, 39, 109, or 409, which stop near Primorski Park. Purchase a ticket from a kiosk or directly on the bus for approximately 1 BGN. Disembark at the 'Delfinariuma' or 'Primorski Park' stop, and the Dolphinarium is a short walk into the park.

    Taxi

    Taxis are readily available throughout Varna. Provide the driver with the address: 'Dolphinarium Varna, Primorski Park, Saltanat district, 9000 Varna'. The fare from the city center should be around 10-15 BGN. Taxis will drop you off directly at the entrance of the Dolphinarium.

    Car

    Enter Varna from the south (Burgas), north (Golden Sands/Albena), or west (Sofia). Follow the blue signs with white inscriptions indicating 'DOLPHINARIUM' on the central streets. Upon reaching the right turn for Primorski Park and the Dolphinarium, continue straight for another 700 meters to reach the parking lot. Parking costs vary, allow approximately 30 minutes for parking. Walk back to the Dolphinarium on the walkway in Primorski Park.

    The Dolphinarium Varna, situated in the green heart of Primorski Park, has been a symbol of Varna and a highlight of Bulgarian tourism since its opening in 1984. As the only dolphinarium of its kind in Bulgaria, it offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness the incredible skills and playful nature of dolphins. The Dolphinarium's eye-catching building, designed by architect Simeon Saraliev, features a futuristic structure with a glass and aluminum facade. Inside, the main pool, with a capacity of 1200 cubic meters, hosts captivating shows that blend acrobatics, synchronized dances, and music. Spectators can witness the dolphins performing high jumps, double flips, and even triple axels. The shows also include demonstrations of the dolphins' intelligence, such as singing, dancing, and playing games with the audience. Beyond the shows, the Dolphinarium contributes to marine life appreciation and conservation. Visitors can observe the dolphins in a relaxed setting through the panoramic windows of the on-site café. The Dolphinarium is home to five dolphins: Kimbo, Doli, Popi, Yoana, and Bimbo, with Yoana and Bimbo born at the facility.
