Discover more about Sea Garden

Varna's Sea Garden, also known as Primorski Park, is a sprawling green space with a rich history dating back to the mid-19th century. Initially, the area was a bare field outside the city walls, but in 1862, a small garden was established. After Bulgaria's liberation in 1878, mayor Mihail Koloni proposed creating a proper city garden and seaside park. The garden's modern appearance is largely attributed to Czech gardener Anton Novak, who began designing the park in 1895. Today, the Sea Garden features numerous attractions, including the Varna Aquarium, the Naval Museum, the Copernicus Astronomy Complex Planetarium, and the Varna Zoo. Visitors can also enjoy the open-air theatre, swimming pool complexes, children's playgrounds, and various monuments and sculptures scattered throughout the park. The Sea Garden offers a vibrant mix of relaxation and entertainment. Stroll along the coastal promenade, relax on the beach, or enjoy the numerous cafes and restaurants. The park also hosts various cultural events and festivals throughout the year.
