    If you are traveling by car, start from Sofia. Head southwest on the A1 highway towards Pernik. Take the exit for the Bistritsa area and follow signs for Vitosha Mountain. Continue on the road until you reach the Vitosha Nature Park entrance. Once you enter the park, follow the signs towards Bear's Meadow (Меча поляна). There are parking areas available near the entrance, but note that parking fees may apply, usually around 5-10 BGN for a day.

    To reach Bear's Meadow using public transport, start by taking the metro to the 'Vitosha' station (Line M1). From there, catch bus number 63 or 107 towards the Vitosha Mountain area. The bus will take you to the 'Aleko' station, which is a well-known starting point for hikers. From Aleko, you can either walk or take a taxi for the remaining distance to Bear's Meadow, which is roughly a 30-minute hike through scenic trails. Bus tickets cost around 1.60 BGN, and the taxi fare from Aleko to Bear's Meadow should be around 10-15 BGN.
